The Mission of the Cabrini High School Association
is to continue the Cabrinian tradition of living with the
principles of respect for the life and the dignity of women
striving for continued excellence in secondary education and
service to the community.
The Cabrini High School Alumnae Association was
founded by our founding principal Sr. Aloysius Almerico, M.S.C.
Sr. Aloysius strived to maintain the spirit and mission of
Cabrini High School among her students and alumnae.
Currently the Alumnae Association made up of
over 3,400 alumnae in over 42 states and several foreign
countries. The Association is governed by a Board of Directors (Alumnae
Board) which is made up of at least eight alumnae. Each Board
member serves a two year term. Elections are held annually at an
Alumnae Association Meeting which is publicized and open to all
The Board hosts special events for alumnae and
their families during the year and also assists in organizing
alumnae volunteers for Cabrini High School activities.

- The Award:
- The purpose of this award is to recognize
a Cabrini alumna who has truly distinguished herself
through professional and personal achievements.
The Alumna of the Year Award is the most significant
honor that our organization and Cabrini High School
bestows to its alumnae. We are looking for candidates who
have displayed the Cabrinian philosophy throughout their

- A nomination may be made by any member of
the Cabrini Community - alumnae, administrators, trustees,
faculty, staff, parents and students.
- An Alumna Award Committee of judges will
be named by the Alumnae Association. The panel will
consist of members of the Cabrini Community and Alumnae
- The Committee of Judges will use the
following guidelines in determining an honoree. The
- Have displayed Cabrinian values
throughout her lifetime.
- Have represented Cabrini with
distinction, honor, loyalty, and personal
- Demonstrate a primary interest in
and concern for the future of Cabrini High School.
- Have made continuing personal
contributions to her family and community.
- Be personally committed to the
responsibility of being an upstanding and
contributing member to Cabrini and the Community.
- Nomination must be received by
Friday, January 1. Any nomination received after
that date cannot be considered. Nominations are

- The recipient of the Alumna of the Year
Award will be announced at the Alumnae Association
- The Prize:
- To commemorate the honor, the recipient
will be presented a special award, featured in our
Crescent publication, and invited to address the Cabrini
High School students.
- How to Nominate:
- You may nominate as many individuals as
you feel are qualified. To nominate an alumna, submit a
letter to the Alumna Award Committee describing the
candidate's qualifications, and evidence of achievement.
It will be helpful to have a comprehensive resume of the
nominee and supporting letters of endorsement.
