1st Tuesday each month

United Methodist Women
The Purpose of the U.M.W. is to know God and experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of missions through participation in the global ministries of the Church. We invite each of you to join with us! The Day Circle meets on the first Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Patio Room.

2rd Tuesday each month

Keenagers at FUMC
One of our most enjoyable groups is our Keenagers (senior adults) group that so faithfully supports the church. Keenagers always have time for a kind word, a big hug, and a loving smile. The Keenagers meet the second Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. in Wesley Hall. They have lunch and a program afterwards. Each month they go on a special field trip. Watch for information in the Sunday bulletin about their extra activities.

Keenager Bylaws
1. Attend 3 meetings to be a member
2. If a member does not attend a meeting for a year, he/she will be dropped (except shut-ins)
3. If a member makes a lunch reservation for the monthly meeting and does not cancel by Sunday before the meeting, he/whe must pay the $5 cost of the lunch

For information, and to make a reservation, call 488-0856.

Counseling Center
A licensed professional counselor is available to preschool parents, families, and individuals from the church and community. The counselor's office is located on the first floor, adjacent to the church office. The First United Methodist Church, the McFarland Institute, and a licensed counselor have partnered to offer psychoeducation and counseling services here at the church. Growing strong families today can be a challenge. Sometimes it is helpful for families to explore solutions with a counselor when they feel stress or discomfort. Our counselor is available for individual, couple, family and group counseling by appointment. For details, click the red "More Info" button to the left, or call the Counseling Center at (504) 897-5960 for more information.

Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m. in the Library

Lifts for Living
St. Mark was the first Gospel written. It is a primary source of our faith and deserves close study if the good news is to become personal. Each person will want to read the Bible and other material each week in preparation for the services. The pastor will amplify and enlarge upon the truths you discover in your readings. Time spent in private meditation as well as discussion with family and friends will make this a time of significant growth for every participant.
