New Orleans Community Arts Program

The New Orleans Community Arts Program, or NOCAP, encompasses all of JPI's home-based programming. Since 1991, we have developed one of the most challenging arts presenting programs in New Orleans. In addition to our own work and that of many local artists such as Donald Harrison, Jr., Guardians of the Flame, and the Chakula Cha Jua Theater Company, we annually present a variety of touring artists. Recent guests include: Urban Bush Women, Roadside Theater, Robbie McCauley and Co., Carpetbag Theater, Ko leksyon Kazak, The Underground Railway Theater, and Cultural Odyssey.

Each season, JPI also presents a series of events at a variety of venues throughout the metropolitan area. We annually produce StoryFest, A Celebration of Women Through The Arts, A Capella Escapades, and the Junebug Jubilee, a multi-arts festival closing out our season. Junebug Productions is also a co-sponsor of the annual Congo Square International Festival.
