Small Business Development Center at UNO
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UNO is one of 12 such
centers located on university campuses throughout the State of
Louisiana funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The
primary purpose of the SBDC is to provide small business counseling
and research services using faculty, staff, and student resources.
These services are available at no charge to small business owners and/or
managers as well as to individuals who are considering the establishment
of a small business. The SBDC also offers educational programs
such as seminars and workshops that are designed to sharpen the
managerial skills of small business owners.
The major emphasis of the UNO SBDC is that of a
partnership for growth in which the academic, professional
and technological resources of universities and colleges
augment those of government agencies in servicing the needs
of the community's small business sector.
This partnership is exemplified by locating the SBDC in The
Innovation Center, a 25,000 square foot facility offering office
support services, management, marketing experience, and
technical experience to start-up businesses.
The SBDC is located at the UNO Technology Enterprise Center, 1600 Canal Street, Suite 620
(Canal Street and S. Robertson). You may reach them by calling 504-539-9292.
