Personal Fitness Program

The YMCA Personal Fitness Program is an individualized program designed specifically for adults who are new or returning exercisers. The program is designed to help the individual move toward the behavior and mindset of a regular exerciser. The physical component of the program consists of a step-by-step, machine-based cardiovascular and muscle conditioning program that provides the structure and progression needed by many individuals. It is recommended that participants exercise three times per week. All participants are assigned a wellness coach who conducts four one-on-one appointments with them during the 12 weeks. In addition to these structured appointments, there is a trained staff person on duty in the exercise area to assist and support the participants.

CPR/First Aid (ages 14 and up)

This course is designed to teach basic CPR and First Aid skills including adult, child, and infant, along with CPR, rescue breathing, and obstructed airway. First Aid includes skills for various emergency situations. Registration deadlines: Session I—June 2; Session II—July 1; and Session III—August 8.
